Dodge the Bullet considers the relationship between two individuals not as a stable bond but as a field of continual negotiation, where meaning emerges through interruption as much as exchange. Oscillating between friendship, love, and artistic collaboration, the work attends to the productive tension between speech and silence, proposing absence not as a lack but as a condition of relation itself. Echoing Maurice Blanchot's notion that proximity is sustained through an irreducible distance, the project understands intimacy as something that resists completion, existing precisely in what cannot be fully articulated.
Darts traverse the space in shifting trajectories, tracing invisible lines of address that never settle into direct communication. Their movement indexes hesitation, deferral, and the constant recalibration of mutual perception. Rather than resolving these moments into narrative or reconciliation, Dodge the Bullet dwells within their indeterminacy, asking how relationships are constituted through gestures that fail to arrive, words withheld, and encounters that remain perpetually unfinished.
